In the framework of the development of international military cooperation and on the basis of the order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 4, 2025 № 108 «On assignment to the United States of America» in the period from 8 to 17 March this year, a group of officers from the National Defense University of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – NDU), consisting of Colonel F.S. Kairanov, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Lieutenant Colonel E.M. Iskakov and Lieutenant Colonel D.K. Nurakaev, was in the Newport city of USA, where a five-day seminar on the study of leadership and ethics was held on the basis of one of the largest and most prestigious military educational institution in North America – the Naval War College.
The seminar consisted of a rich educational program that included lectures, practical exercises and trainings aimed at solving situational problems and simulating modern threats to military security. NDU officers demonstrated high knowledge and actively participated in scientific discussions, adopting positive experience in adapting the best educational practices to the system of postgraduate military education in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Along with the study of leadership and ethics problems, military scientists and NDU specialists have studied the specifics of military professional training of servicemen of the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as the approaches of American teachers to planning the educational process and teaching disciplines.
The knowledge and experience gained will help improve the quality of the educational process and the content of the educational, methodological and scientific work of the teaching staff of the NDU.
